About Me....

Beth's Background
I am an Occupational Therapist that completed my Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. I worked for many years providing home and community health occupational therapy for Rehab Without Walls. I also worked for 8.5 years at Harborview Medical Center on the trauma inpatient rehabilitation unit. This work has allowed me to gain skills working with people with neurological, orthopedic, burns and many other complicated medical conditions.
Starting in 2008, I began studying Myofascial Release (MFR) with John F. Barnes and have since completed the following courses: Myofascial Release I, II, III, Fascial-Pelvis, Cervical Thoracic, Unwinding, Advanced Unwinding, Rebounding, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Healing Seminar, Mobilization, Quantum Leap and a 40-hour MFR Skills Enhancement Session at Therapy on the Rocks Treatment Center in Sedona, AZ.
I have also completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through the Samarya Center as well as workshops in Integrated Movement Therapy training (Basics and Adult Level 1) and Yoga for Social Change. And I've worked with MindBodySolutions to take specialized training in Adaptive yoga. I am currently offering a specialized class for people that have mobility challenges from significant physical mobility challenges and you can learn more from our website: https://www.adaptiveyoganorthwest.com
Finally, when I’m not busy working to help people get back to living more fully, I like to spend time outside or with my family. I enjoy trail running, skiing, cycling, backpacking, kayaking, SUP, photography, yoga and generally any adventure that I can find. I am passionate about creating opportunities for all people to find adventure because of its natural connection to healing and rejuvenation. Another way I’ve blended my interests is by my previous experience teaching adaptive skiing and cycling through OutdoorsForAll.
